Thanks to all for the encouraging and constructive advice!

I wasn't really thinking about a contest or even much at all whenb I shot this. It was just sort of an experiment, and I think one of the first few truly long night photos I shot with this lens (Sigma 70-300). The colors amazed me when I looked at the photo later. To my eye, the far blue bridges were just a dark miniscule area. The exposure pushed them well past how my eyes interpreted them for both color and exposure.

I can indeed reshoot, but I don't know if it will ever happen. This was kind of an impromptu photo trip to a place not terribly near home for me. The coloring and being able to play with white balance and framing a bit would indeed make it worth it.

Good VP, a bit too dark in the foreground.

I agree. Before setting up this shot, I was playing with a 28mm lens from the same vantage point (again, this was shot with a 70-300 at 70mm). One of the things I tried was having myself and my friend walk down opposite sides of the rows of pillars and shoot off flashes manually from the hidden spot behind each pillar. If this other guy hadn't wanted to get moving, I might have tried a similar kind of thing in a shot at 70mm. Now I want to go try it again... Anyways, here's one of the versions with the 28mm and the flashes:

Here's a closer (and larger ovarall) crop for you guys wondering the same thing as joebok:

Voted eralier, returning for comments.

Very interesting going from the dark to the light. Yes, the diminishing concept is well illustrated.

Like this very much - structurally, colour, thematically. Ideally, of course, you might have tried to bring up tose crazy forground shadow angles. I'm not completely sure about the collection of whatever it is between the bridges - looks like a trailer or something - and it's perhaps that lack of definition that hurts the image for my score.

The shot is a little cluttered, and the colors are unsettling. But good effort.

I like the colors in this a lot. I would have brought out the shadows/lighting in the foreground more or made it completely black.
