Thank you so much for the very nice comments. It is amusing to note that some people prefer the movement in the frame while some prefer it static. Maybe a reshoot with rule of thirds will turn out worthwhile!
The composition is largely inspired from the following image by timfythetoo
Maybe I should have made the coffee tad lighter :) |

That's some dark coffee! My husband only likes the dark roast. Love the textures you brought to the photograph! |

I really like the composition of this, and the way the light falls on the coffee beans creating very pretty lit and shadowed areas. I would've preferred for the cup to be still, as opposed to something being poured into it because IMHO it makes it look a bit awkward. |

Mmmm, that looks really thick and black. Is that even real coffee? Don't tell me, I'd drink it anyway! |

nice job including a bit of movement in this photo. It's interesting how you have two different colored light sources. I'm not sure if I would have gone that way. |

If the coffee cup wasn't dead center I'd like it better (rule of thirds). Nice lighting and focus. |

Beautiful shot, could be a foldgers commercial. The artist in me thinks if you added a pile of sugar next to the cup, or some cinnamon sticks hidden in the sea of coffe beans it would add a more artistic and slightly less commercial feel to this picture. You can also play with the color of the lighting, with warm reds to imply a warm cup of coffee or cool blues for a cold morning for coffee. |

This is well photographed and a treat to look at. While I wish it was not centered in the frame, that's relatively minor in the scheme of things. |
