I am incredibly jealous. A wonderful opportunity, wonderfully shot.
Is this handheld or tripod-based? I see this is at 1/60th with a 400mm lens. I can't imagine her being patient and trusting enough to let you set up a tripod, but I can't imagine getting this crisp a shot at that speed without it.

Back to comment: Neat shot that we don't see very often. I like the catchlight in the eye and the composition. Nicely done. |

I have never seen a hummingbird's nest. This is so neat! I can feel the warmth of the parent bird! :-) |

Lovely, lovely image. Congratulations for knowing where this lovely bird lives and for cherishing the moment. |

Cute, rare humming bird that is not in motion. It would look cool if you could get this pic while the sun is rising/setting for the pinks/reds to add to the warmth. |

A lovely nature shot. I once came nose to beak with one of these, who'd built their nest on a low branch of a tree I was passing. SO tiny! |

looks like it's a little out of focus, but definitely an 8 |

As someone who enjoys photographing birds, I'm jealous! There is a bit of noise, but still nice to see. |
