 During 2010 Ben did a picture a week shallow depth of field project. I followed this closely as I was doing a B & W a week. Typically Ben used his 50/1.4 for these images and usually shot wide open, so I figured I would try and emulate him in shooting something with a very shallow depth of field.

Hard to get anything focused at 1.4 that's for sure!

Naturally I turned it to B & W with a tint of something

This is beautiful Sarah! Although Lev is mostly right (I have an obsession with triangles...love to see them in photographs...), but this image instantly reminded me of this

Well rendered, lovely tones and bokeh. I always enjoy nature imaged in this manner. Gives me a sense of place, connected to a mundane plant, flower, etc.
