While I was shooting the Diners etc. shoot, their was a VW car show going on at the local McDonnalds. A a dedicated owner of a Westfalia, I couldn't resist! I know many may say DNMC, but the word "Bug" *was* in quotation marks!
I didn't really feel that any of my shots of actual insects could compete with the High End macro lenses and equipment that some of the other contestants posess, so this is the route I chose. Get your kicks on Route 66!

You asked for feedback and negative comments to help reconcile your score with the positive comments. In this image, the high number of commenters and their robust vote gave your final score a nice boost over 5. I'm all for bucking the theme, but you didn't even come close to meeting the challenge...and you still got a 5.0x. Well done on putting up a groovy image, motion blur and all.

Oh well...you are right: this IS a beetle and therefor should not be labeled as DNMC. Hard to compare with the other entries though.

I had a really similar idea, but the weather was absolute crap all week so I could never get the shot I wanted! Kudos for going the distance!
