 Praying mantis eating a Skipper butterfly. I watched the mantis for an hour ... I knew she was hunting (a failed attempt to catch a larger Skipper caught my attention) and it was just a matter of time till someone got eaten. Felt very sorry for the butterfly :-(

Had 36mm extension tube on.

PP - cropped, increased saturation and contrast, dodged bug details a little, colored dead flower heads purple, desaturated a stem, slight vignette, sharpened bugs, resized, sharpened with noise reduction, blurred background noise, added border.

How cool to see this happening! Unfortunately, it just isn't sharp enough, which is good for the mantis (since it blends into the background), but probably not as good in the challenge. 6
