 Thank you all for your encouraging comments and awesome votes. It is delightful to see when others love my shot as much as I do.

Though I expected this to do well while submitting, the progress with the score during the week was a big surprise to me. No complaints about being so close to 8 and not making it. There is always next time, isn't it! :)

This was my 10 for the challenge. The inclusion of the couple, and the way they're echoed in the paired bursts, makes the shot. Congrats on a very high score and your blue ribbon!

Thank you for your kind words Raj, it would be a dream to get a score like this, but it's completely deserved, absolutely wonderful image, even if you only had the fireworks it would be great, but to include the couple is perfect.

Oh wow. The perfect 4th of July story. I love that we can see the people in the foreground. It gives so much more to the image than just a skyline with some fireworks. Nicely done.

Stunning, I haven't been totaly thru the challenge but I can say if this isn't my very favorite then it's gonna be the top 2! I'm guessing there's a ribbon waiting for this one!

My favorite of the challenge! The reflections in the water, the silhouette of the people, the city lights, it's all amazing. It would be perfect if only the wind would have been in your favor and blown that smoke away. 9
