I've never seen anything like this in Nat Geo... so... I'm not sure how it would be considered by them.

I'm finding it difficult to comment on this image. Other than the thumbnail being suggestive, a luxury not afforded in a magazine, I cannot see any relevance to an NG story, imagery, theme except maybe abstract art. ETA: I've come back to this after a bit more thought. In the instance where this shot was used to portray a polluted planet, and the silhouette belongs to a building where the vista beyond is obscured by said pollution, it could work.
Typically though this would have to tie in with the article in some way. |
