I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: Beautifully composed image - that diagonal shadow running corner to corner is tremendous. The light on the building is pretty special and the figure brings the whole scene to life.

Critical stuff: There seems to be some slight haloing around the figure.

Overall: Very strong work

I love how the lady completes the composition -- separated from the torn backdrop in that she's a living breathing person, yet, at the same time, inseperable from it. The diagonal line further comments on this dichotomy - a stroke of genius.
