Hi T.Aaron, welcome to the Critique Zone!
What a great idea - kudos to you on both the concept and execution. I think that you pretty much nailed what you were trying to do here so this will be a really short critique!
This needs to be sharp, and it is - a classic example of how the kit lens is so much more capable than it is often credited with. The lighting is spot on, the perspective works etc etc.
You have produced a great illusion - I want to see the bottle even though my brain tells me it isn't there. The only way that this could be better (I don't feel the need for the top right of the bottle to be perfect!) would be if you could arrange an absolut label in the middle - but it would have to be perfect in order to not hurt the rest of the image.
Great job, hopefully a sign of more genius to come!
Happy hunting,
Frank. |

Cute idea. I wonder how many people really know that vodka comes from potatoes.
I'm sure you have heard this already, but the upper right of the bottle being broken is hurting this otherwise clean image. |

The idea is excellent and very creative.. But you could've done a better job with cutting them and aligning them properly. |

I love this! It's clever & it's executed beautifully. I like the way the potatoes aren't just 'perfectly' aligned- but rather that the layout is parallel to the individuality of each potato. I've seen a lot of creative shots in this contest- but this is my winner because it's a unique take on Absolut Vodka... that's the point- right?! |

Super creative!! My only suggestion might be to add dirt on the table rather than using a white board. It would make it look more rustic and natural.
Awesome shot |

What makes this image even more charming and novel is the slight imperfection at the bottleneck! 9 for now and Bravo! |

I love your take on the challenge. You definitely get kudos for your creativity. I wish the cut was a little more exact and clear, but for concept sake, I think the viewer can forgive you for it. My eyes are being thrown haphazardly around the photo...maybe the potatoes need to be arranged in a way so they point more towards the center (some of the ones on the right are, though, which is good). There's also some white thing on the right, near the top of the outline...I probably wouldn't have noticed it though if I wasn't studying so closely. Again, amazing idea. |

Interesting, although Absolut is not a potato-based vodka. |

Severely creative. Excellent concept and execution. Nice contrast between color and non-color, texture and non-texture, the positive and negative. Extremely well done. |

Funny that the labels on the bottles say it's made from grain grown in southern Sweden. ;-) But cool idea. |
