Well, this is not fog!

This is the Murphy Complex fire, this was a small portion of the 69,000 + acres that are burning.

, I was inside the fire line about 1 mile away from the action with my own personal hot shot fireman. Crews where backburning/burnout operations. This is the thermal belt cap above the valley trapping the smoke, due to the higher RH.

Simply Blue should've gotten a simply Blue Ribbon, too. I like the many levels of depth.

Was this also taken at Yarra Valley? Fantastic image, fog makes all the difference.

I guess this was the challenge for "foggy" wasn't it? And there I was out there in almost constant fog and mist, and I went INLAND to get sunlight on the hills, LOL. Wonderful shot, congrats on the red!

I like the feel of this shot very much, but I think I would have cropped off the top third of the image.

Beautiful mist - As to the tonality, the perspective is reversed producing a very powerful but unstable image and thus losing its minimalistic approach.
The background mountain lost its blue too much and seems to be from a different shot.

How about if you crop the sky and leave a bit black part of mountain on the top of the pic so it can perform like a border? Great view.

Beautiful photo. Mist always adds sooooo much to a scene. BTW, do I see a Grad. Neut. Density filter on the upper half? If it is, do you think a softer transition might be less noticeable?

8, love it, the only thing that seems lacking is similar contrast in the sky, love the lines and blue tones though
