Yeah, I'm also surprised this did so well.

Joke! You've got a masterful way of framing a scene (I've said this time and again). Obviously it's an interesting scene and a lovely capture, but it's your attention to the lines, the positions, the inclusions and exclusions of your composition that set your photos apart. Awesome stuff again.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: Lovely, pure street work here. Stunningly well constructed with perfect light. An exercise in ambience transmission! Tones and textures are bang on too. Makes me want to take a deep breath for the smell of bread and coffee!

Critical stuff : No

Overall: Expertly done. I can only aspire.

Unfortunately I don't think it will happen, but this would be my pick for the Blue. Fantastic candid and the B&W treatment is perfect for the subject matter. Lots of the usual eye candy in this challenge though so I expect you will be up against some tough competition. Good luck for a strong finish in the challenge.

Beautiful! I tried for 3 months....(no internet......) then my "stupid" friend turned me on to D>P>C>...........ugggggggg........ Perfect black and white. Super composition.....great subject balance....tells a story.....pleasing grain..... see.....if I turned off my internet I'd be painting and making pottery again....now I'm addicted to DPC......and you are one of my enablers!!!lolol. Oh yeah. and if my "stupid friend read this"....thanks....... :-)
