I love the light in this, the sweetness in this most ordinary of scenes.

An interesting random grouping of folks. Like the guy with the dog, and the little "6" sign off to the right.

I love the light and the independent little stories going on here. This is very much a picture about life and I think that's what HCB was going for.

I see what you were going for, but unfortunately, it doesn't work for me. I find this washed out and nothing really pops out.

I'm drawn to the man in the background, which I think you were likely aiming for the viewer to do.

I gave this one some thought as to why I was voting slightly blow average. I feel the composition is not donw so well. You have the leading line of the guiderail on the left of the photo taking your eye into the lightpost and the garbage can. That seems to be where the focal point is. Then the couple is looking to the right where the action is, and the edge of the photo is right there. Nothing to explain what they are looking at, or even if you couldn't fit that in at least some open space on the right in front of the couple could have helped the viewer to ponder something. As it stands the composition is cut off. I really would have recomposed and put the couple on the left side of the frame. Other than that, the grey scale is good. A fairly high amount of midtones with some darker shadows. No real bright highlights.
