| "but to realistically portray an image of killing someone....goes over the top for me." Are you serious? Does this mean you never watch horror movies, or movies that realisticly portray violence. Many top Academy Award winning movies have realistic images of death and violence. Anyone would know that its FAKE, an image, fantasy...whatever you want to call it. Disturbing , maybe, but not real! If this website were full of nothing but images of pretty sunsets, and flowers, Iprobably wouldn't be a part of it. Because it would be BORING! |

how can it offend you????? its art..its a brilliant image with a powerful message.and deserved to be rated higher in my opinion.
to be a top photographer you have to be open to OTHER peoples ideas.a good picture to me is one that causes disgusions like this and so far its the only picture in this group that has done so.far more creative than any other picture in this challenge.if i could change it to 10/10 i would .( this is my opinion so hope this doesnt offend anyone!!) |

i can appreciate creativity and thinking outside the box but to realistically portray an image of killing someone and keeping their body in your fridge goes over the top for me.
i'm in the group that found this in bad taste. |

23 ones! I'm not surprised. I like photos that express the darker side of things... occasionally. This IS art, whether someone finds it in bad taste, or "glorifies violence" I believe it was Picasso that said, "taste is the enemy of creativity." Not my overall favorite, but interesting concept.

| I certainly believe in free expression but there are limits. This horrific image glorifies violence, abuse, and murder ("Dead Meat"). |

| Sean Lennon has a song called 'Deat Meat' which I think is a very good song. I don't comment very much anymore on photos but this one caught my attention in the shock factor. A great photo as photography goes and a very bold move I think. |

| Although a disturbing photo, it evokes emotion and therefore accomplishes the intent. Black and white helps this. Quite creative, actually! |

I have to say I don't like this image, initially because it appears to have virtually no post processing or effort put in to framing etc, very much like a snapshot...
However on reflection this was obviously intentional and really makes the image as disturbing as it is, more real life than horror movie, which also makes me dislike the image quite a lot.
Again though, obviously this image set out to provoke an emotion, it has, and so I think you've done a fantastic job. I don't like looking at this image but that should be viewed as a triumph on your part =). 7 |
