This really forced me to clean my lens and sensor...

I can not believe this!!! Amazing...at one point I was at 7.16 and with the next 2 votes dropped to 6.89...thought for sure it was the slippery slope down at that point.

@Karen, you asked how I did this....this was done on my back porch with natural lighting (I don't have any lighting equipment at all), on a mirror with a white backdrop.

Added Note: I guess I'm continuing with the theme of "Orange" for my Highest Rated Photo's!! Funny thing is this is a feather that I got from the Flamingo on the far right...hmmm

I really like how it fades away......would love to know how you achieved this in minimal editing. Holding something over the area and then removing it during a long exposure? Very nice.

Wow. Nice shot. just the kind of thing I the challenge was supposed to be (at least in my mind). The softness of light and the subject and texture, line, reflection and the dab of color is perfect. I also like the way you have balanced the white on the edges and corners.

great subtle subject and I like the gradual transition to bleached left edge - a great trick to push the focus on the tip of the feather!
