Often it seems like the shallow dof closeups leave a of the subject oof unintentionally. In this case it not only seems deliberate, but really makes for a great shot! I love how the subject's "private parts" flatten losing depth, falling to the background while the petal's edge, replete with dew drop, pops irresistibly drawing the eye. |

you have beautiful clarity on the petal...but for the composition of this it's just not enough to make it really appealing TO ME...sorry |

I like the selective focusing. It makes your image unique and makes it stand out among the rest. The sharpness is excellent and so is the composition. |

Not so sure I like the composition or DOF. My eye immediately goes to the OOF center of the tulip. The colours are nice. |

I like the idea you have gone for here, using a very shallow depth of field to reveal the organic shapes of the flowers curling petals, but feel you needed crisper focus, or perhaps just a little more sharpening, on the parts you are drawing the viewers attention to. |
