 Left this until the last day and then had to poke around the garden with just the grey evening light - keeps the blown highlights at bay though.

A wish I could've cloned out that tiny particle...

What makes this shot is the use of purple and green, that really creates depth and contrast. the composition is a bit lacking, but it works with the title.

Love your colors...if your whole flower (in FG) was totally sharp I would have bumped this up for sure

I really like this. I wonder if it would have been better to focus on the tips rather than the main body of the flower.

This is cool. The main flower is great. The lower right bit is too much in focus and distracts.

Wow, what an intriguing flower. The only thing that bugs me is the DOF in this image. I'm assuming that the big unfocused area at the right is is another flower that was closer to you, I think it occupies too big of an area and it creates a distraction. Also, the fact that right behind it, something purple is focused throws me off. I would've loved to see this flower, with the same composition but simply with a nice bokeh in the background.
