 I ran around for a couple of days trying to find something gold only to remember that I had a saxophone. I tried to shot indoors with lights but with little flash experience i was frustrated with the results so i ended up doing this.
Nikon D300s with Tamron 17-50mm lens (@ 50mm), Hoya polarising filter. f 3.5 at 1/250's ISO 200. I shot in natural light and tried the filter to stop a little of the shine, i think it worked a bit. I sharpened in photoshop CS5 and resized the image to challenge specifications.

a good idea - a bit better lighting to emphasize the color of the sax would have helped this shot

nice choice for gold subject! angle is not very exciting, though. Think of how a player would have the instrument at an angle while playing it . . .
