 I expect this to get killed, and I don't care.

I wanted to enter a shot that had as little of a shotglass as I could manage. Been playing around lately with cropping, I feel like I've been focusing so much on trying to get a well lit and sharp image, that I've forgotten the creative bit of photography.

This is shot with a single light source, low and to the left. photographed from above. floor is simply some black foamcore that I had laying around the house.

I used a cheapo macro extension tube, I believe it's 12mm, although to be honest, I think I could have probably gotten a very similar shot without it.

Personally, I'm ok with the glass not being perfectly clean. It would be almost impossible to have a perfectly clean glass with macro anyway. We don't always need perfection. :) Dust adds character.

You asked for feedback.

I gave it a 6. I liked the colour and the abstractness of it. I would have scored it higher if the rim was perfect without dust or scratches.

Another idea why it did not score higher, maybe some people didn't think this was a shot glass.
