Pretty good details here - you can see the patterns on the bark within the leaves. The colors are a bit drab though. I am not sure if some adjustments would have helped or hurt. I like the composition. The subject matter is ok - made me smile, but doesn't hold my interest very long. = 6 |

Good use of humor. Is that like a sign for general information or something? Good contrast of colors (foliage vs. blue/white sign) |

Exactly! well taken photo, but it just doesn't "grab" me (interest wise). It might have looked a little better w/o the sign post. Colorful leaves! 7 Swash |

Hmmm.... this seems flat and static. I'm trying to work out why.... the backlighting on the sign doesn't help, making it dim in relation to the background. The leaves are lit too harshly, and seem washed out and unappealing. The composition doesn't hit any of the right elements... it uses the rule of thirds but that isn't always enough :). The post seems to drag my eyes out of the photo. I just don't respond well to this image. |

Nifty idea. The sign is unfortunately not well lit. There are some video-type artifacts on the sign edges. |

Technically and compositionally, there is nothing wrong with this photo. IMO, the background makes for a busy shot and your subject sign doesn't really create a sense of high interest for me. - Setzler |

Did you think about using your flash on the ? sign? It may have added the punch for this shot and added a WOW factor. The crop could also be tightened so as to hide the wood holding the sign. I like the colors of the foliage behind the sign. Sharpness is OK, may want to look into unmask sharpen. |

This shot makes me want to know what on earth this sign is for :o) The positioning of the sign within the shot is good, yet the background seems to be too bright - the sign is in shadow, but most of the background is in direct sunlight. Perhaps a different angle could have got more of the shadowed background behind the sign, or a levels adjustment maybe. In addition, a shallower DoF, focused on the sign and blurring the background, might have helped make the sign jump out more as the main subject of the image. |

I'm sure some folks won't but I like your background. I wish that the light was hitting more on the sign and less on the background though. DPz |

i would like to have seen the sign with light on it. it would have accented the point of focus better. as it is, my eyes travel to the leaves with light on them. |

Nice composition, and to me very humorous. The leafs are a bit distracting for me. Good job nevertheless. |

Hes, why are these leaves still on that tree this time of year? fun picture. |

The sign itself seems a bit dark. Love the title, though. |

LOL...Looks kind of funny sitting there on it's own. The light seems pretty bright on the leaves, but looks like there is a shadow on the sign. I would like to see it the oposite, with more light on the sign. Otherwise, though, I like the angle and framing/cropping. Your focus and clarity are good, and the color is good as well. Good luck in the challenge. |
