There's nothing miniature here. Raindrops on glass are distracting, not sure what you're trying to convey.

There always seems to be one shot per challenge that is far outside the challenge requirements, but is still an interesting photo.... Wonderful cloud scape, and it's interesting you got focus on the window/drops rather than the outside world. Whenever I take photos through the windsheild I try and get the focus outide the car. Interesting 'life' photo, although I don't quite get the title. I feel this is your art, rather than your entry, if you see what I mean, and on the basis of your it being your art, I give it a solid 8. :-).

very dramatic sky - not sure how it fits into the challenge....

This is an excellent image (though exactly what it's doing in this challenge beats me). The balance of the larger drops with the darkness of the sky maintains interest across the frame, and the whole is so communicative of a mood, an atmosphere. The crop is very effective too. Good stuff.

One of my favoirtes in the challenge. Good luck!

I like it, but don't understand how it fits the theme

A very moody and creative image. What is miniature?
08/07/2004 06:36:30 AM
Where's the miniature?
08/07/2004 05:33:37 AM
I don't see the challenge in this photo - maybe I'm missing it

Scary, but cool.

i'm sure you probably already know this... but this picture would be awesome if it wasnt taken through a rainy windshield. true shame because it looks beautiful otherwise

Interesting Idea!

forgive me for being dense, but i'm not sure how this meets the challenge. it is an interesting image, very dramatic, but i'm just not getting what is miniature.

I don't know if I would consider anything in this image miniature, but I really like the image. The line of water in the bottom left hand corner is a bit distracting, but other than that I like the image.

Didn't meet the challenge.

Is this a model miniature car? I will assume it is. I like the effect of water droplets. A visually appealing image. Good job.

I suppose you are going to get low marks because there isn't anything miniature in your photo. True. But it is a wonderful image none the less. Your picture tells a story. We are driving out of a rain storm and into the sunlight. But the oncoming cars are also coming out of the dark because they have their headlights on. The wiper on our window has cleared a path - I say "our" window because of the intimate feel of the image. I fell like I am inside the car. The leading lines are interesting - the road leads out in front of us left to right, but the car driving towards us reveres it and brings it back. The scene is divided rougly in thirds, an effective arrangement. To top third is dark clouds and that is where the rain on the windshield is. the middle third is the brighter future where the wipers have cleared the drops and the clouds are breaking up. The bottom third is wet again, wet smears on the window, wet road. Very well done photo for maybe the wrong challenge - 8

excellent picture and colors! but is that a miniature? how can we figure it out?
08/04/2004 07:30:10 AM
Really nice picture! Has a great painted look. But, is that a "MINI" car? Is it miniature raindrops? What's being strived for (title)?
08/04/2004 05:46:15 AM
strive to see what's miniature about this? i'm really lost - and I DO apologise if i'm missing the entire point of the picture but i have NO idea what i'm supposed to be looking at that's miniature? even though i LOVE the composition of this pic :(
