 Ever since I took this pasta shot:



I've wanted to do a similar shot using spices. This seemed like a good opportunity.

I didn't have any of these spices at home, I am not a big cook. I bought them all at a bulk foods store. It took more time to sort all the spices out into the small compartments than it did to take the photo, edit it and upload it to DPC.

Photo taken outside for natural, even lighting (a mistake I made on the pasta shot). Simple editing - crop, curves, edit out a few specks, sharpen).

List of spices starting at the top left:
-caraway seed
-red peppercorns
-cloves
-fenugreek seeds
-chicken broth powder (not really a spice but wanted something yellow)
-coriander seed
-paprika
-cinnamon sticks
-chili peppers
-sage
-star anise
-chili powder
-sesame seeds
-crushed chili peppers
-seasoned salt
-allspice

Excellent stuff. I had a hunch this was you. Such a perfect idea for the challenge, and so well executed, as always. My only complaint is that there are no chicken wings in one of those bins. Congrats!
