You've managed to capture more than one reality here, and that's always fascinating to me. Good job.

My guess is people beyond the foreground doors with a screen or blind on the far side of them, all casting shadows and lights onto the doors. That doesn't explain the clear part at the top, does it? Maybe there is condensation on the doors that doesn't go all the way up. Maybe just the angle of the light means that it only falls onto part of the doors.
