thanks for the advice...this was my first entry after buying my new camera...at the time i couldn't locate my photoshop software so nothing extra was done to the picture post processing. after doing autolevels and cropping the shelving out of the picture, it looks much better. the problem with the blurriness is not a problem with focusing i don't think. the shutter speed was bulb and i actually had to hold the button on my camera down for 90 seconds...the camera was on a tripod but some blurriness can still be expected...also the guy holding the chair had to stay still in each position for 40 seconds in order for the exposure to come out how i liked it. maybe i am missing something in the shooting of the shot? i know a darker background would have been preferred. |

Frustration
Composition (Content)
I like the different colors of the wall and ceiling, they add a nice artistic look to the shot. The cropping would be better suited for this shot if you had cropped out the shelf unit in the lower left. This would have left just the three colors of the wall and ceiling in contrast of the red in your shirt. You captured motion well.
Background
The camera seems to have focused on the green wall in the background. Perhaps a manual focus lock on the chair, and then the long open shutter speed would have helped put focus on the chair better.
Camera Work (Technical)
Good shutter speed to capture the motion. Focus is off on main interest in picture. Colors are good for available lighting.
Digital Processing (Technical)
Sharpening is fair(It does not appear to have post processing sharpening done)
Balance between light and dark is fair. (The whole scene seems flat in color)
Compression is good(No noticeable compression artifacts)
My opinion
Good idea and shows motion well. I feel that some minor tweaks to bring the focus to the main subject by cropping differently and getting the camera focus on the chair instead of the wall would have made your image convey your idea better.

The two frames of motion you're forming here each look rather blurry, which detracts from the shot. A darker backdrop and clearer light source might have helped make this shot stand out more. 3 |

Definately shows motion. I see you've done this before? lol Chairs normally come with 4 legs. lol. I think that the lighting os good, and angle and framing/cropping are good as well. I think that the horizontal line on the wall near the ceiling is a bit distracting, but that's a minor detail. Good luck in the challenge. |

If I sat on a 3 legged chair, I'd be frustrated too. - Good pic. Inspzil |

probably the best portrayal of motion this week, however the colors are all too muted, giving a dull, washed out look. |

I think if the chair was the sharpest part of the image, it would of looked better. jgillard4 |
