When this challenge topic came up, I immediately thought of this image that I took two months ago , which was an outtake for the free study, but that I didn't enter into any challenges. So I went about recreating it. Went to the lake, and sure enough there was a cormorant which I got to stretch its wings by chasing it into the water first ;-)
This shot isn't as good as the other in my opinion, the angle isn't right and the lighting wasn't quite right either. But I still think it is effective for this challenge.
Most of the warm colors were added through adding warming filters in photoshop. Sorry to disappoint.
It's supposed to look like the sun is coming from the front, but a good eye can see it is actually coming from the right.

Um, wow I didn't think this would score this low. I guess I learned my lesson. Don't try to create a silhouette in photoshop that is not one in the original picture, voters will notice and think you underexposed everything on accident.
