 WOW...I really didn't expect to win a blue with this image. I was hoping for a 6.4...so I am thrilled that it was so well received.

This is Ayana and she is from Ethiopia. She was so full of laughter and giggles through-out our session. What a delightful young girl she is. Her eyes tell such a soulful story to me in this portrait. She captivated me immediately when she stepped in front of the lens. I feel quite lucky to have been able to photograph this beautiful girl.

Thank all so much for the votes and the ribbon. It is always a thrill to win one of these.

ETA: Does this mean that I am the first one to win one of those camera straps? If so....YEAH!!

Superb BW portrait. The positioning of the child to the right third of the frame does however give me a feeling of imbalance. I'd have cropped the child to the left third. Still, a 9.

Gorgeous eyes. Love the tones. The left side of her face (as you look straight on) seems a touch over edited. What a gorgeous child. :)
