Ok. I know you're thinking: "Another squirrel?!?!"

But I did try other things first. I tried portraits:

I tried funky chip shots:

My daughter even touched up my funky chip shot -- she said it was interesting, but needed something else:

But I didn't like any of them. So I put the chips out to see if I had any takers.

Realize that my squirrels are not tame. When I do a squirrel shot, it takes about 2 hours at the least, usually longer. Unfortunately, I waited until last minute, and it was a very windy day. I had more chips blow off the deck than stay.

I put out one chip at a time. It takes about 10-15 minutes for the squirrel to get brave enough to come down again. I was so excited -- he picked up the chip!!! And immediately turned his back to me and ate the whole thing!

I put out another chip. It blew off. Put out another one, blew off. Put out another one. Waited for another 10-15 minutes for the squirrel to get brave enough, and he did it again!! Picked up the chip and turned his back to me! I was able to get a quick shot off, first.

I liked his pose, but I didn't like that his feet were out of focus.

Last chip... a little over 2 hours since I started, and he finally picked up the chip and ate it in a way that I could get a couple of shots:

And this shot. I liked this shot, because it looked like he was smiling. :)

76 votes here on the first day -- 6.7895.

Seriously, people! I've only done 8 squirrel shots in over 2 years! It's not that many... :)

As sweet...or is that as salty as ever. Congrats Wendy and go Blue. Now it's time to work in a diet for these critters. First you feed them sweets and now crisps. Shame on you.
Well done

What a difficult subject. It's been very educational for me in the UK in terms of learning American speak. We call this squirrel food a crisp. Fantastic picture anyway and by far the most interesting.
