 To me, B+W is easiest achieved through infrared. I love shooting infrared. It does such amazing things to skin tones, skies, and vegetation. The downside is it leaves a weird coloring effect that turns some people off. Slide the saturation down to 0, problem mitigated.

So yeah, nothing brings drama out of a dull sky like infrared.
