Wonderful control of lighting and all - but the processing and expression really makes this feel like this is a picture of a mannequin

You know, it's not the crop so much. That really is OK....even more would be OK.
It's the wide border on top that I objected to.

Looks very, very dead. Probably all the retouching or whatever was applied to get her rid of the human skin. Was that the effect you were trying to achieve?

Beautifully done. Love the catch lights. Wonderful lighting. All of the makeup really works to pull us to her eyes, especially in black and white. Man, I wish I had her jawline. :) 8

The hard stare and contrast make this a top-10 photo in this competition. Perhaps the model's left eye is a little too in shadow but it's not overly istracting. Good work and well done
