 Lol, this will be the 4th Free Study in a row that I am submitting a portrait type shot of a bird.
I don't think this one will do as well, but I can't resist entering it (despite having better shots) because I love it so much. Granted, that is probably a really biased view since this is my pet, but I can't help it.

This is my cockatiel Dandy. She is 6 years old now, and I just love her.
Sometimes she can be fearful or quarrelsome, but she is always hilarious and can be super gentle. Nothing says gentle more than a bird preening your eyelashes. Nothing says trust as much either (on my part) ;-)

Birds make such great subjects for photos... This is definitely one of the more unique bird photos I have seen in a while. I love the composition and I suppose the element of this image that grabs me the most is the lighting. The warmth of that light is what makes this shot unusual... 10 from me :)
