Yea, it is an old electric pulp tester...but it took me a while, and some asking around to figure it out. |

Well. this was my second challenge. Important lesson learned...never use a distracting background for still life photography. |

Looks like a beautiful floor, but I can't say it makes a nice setting for your disassembled object. |

Nice looking picture of a disassembled object, IMO i think the table pattern detracts from the image as a whole. |

Very nicely taken apart! Use of a solid background would have helped tremendously. |

Funny that you don't know what this is! Maybe a more "modern" table would have matched better with the disassembled technology |

The floor is definitely working with all the scattered pieces. |

How dare you take apart an electromagnetic wobbler alarm coil, don't you know how rare those are?
This image feels a bit strange on a few levels. the floor is really distracting. it has some lines that lead you to the parts, but the parts are all at a strange angle to these lines. On top of that, the color of the floor is really overwhelming with the muted tones of the electronics. It's fighting heavily to be the focal point. This is further accentuated by the loose cropping on all the sides. You also get some strange reflections by keeping the cropping loose.
The shadows in this are really long and hard (thatswhatshesaid), and when combined with the dark grain of the wood, they kind of combine to draw you back into the background. |

It's such a shame that you didn't move the whole thing some 10 cm further to the point where the joints in the wood intersect. The grain in the wood makes a great natural lead to a focal point and when I'm looking at the picture now, my eyes always end up in the middle of nothing, to the right of translucent thing at the top. |

Your title made me laugh. The pattern on the table is too much, a solid background would be better. |
