I'd prefer the shell to be sharper. Usually, black and white images are about shadows and shapes for me, and I don't see any here.

i like the lighting on the shell but i think the image needs much richer details

I think Weston's shot would have been in perfect focus, and if this is, it seems like it's not to me. I don't know what caused the white "p" dead center, but if I ignore that, I think your lighting is perfect.

For me, this image has way too much space around it, and is not nearly sharp enough. But the lighting is strong. (not voting)
