Cool shot Robert. A similar phenomenon occurs in Broome in the north of Western Australia, which is referred to at the Staircase to the Moon and is a major attraction. I assume your shot is taken over mudflats, giving the same effect?

I love the colors in this, but since the horizontal lines are so strong, I would have liked to see the ratio between the sides emphasize that...maybe 2:3 instead of 3:4.
