Taken at First Encounter Beach, Lower Cape Cod, shortly before moon set. I combined an image of the moon taken at 400mm and slightly enlarged, with an image of the moon's light reflecting across the bands of water in the 3/4 mile of flats this beach turns into at low tide. That image was taken at 235mm. After experimenting, I opted for an abstract approach to the scene and I'll be interested to see what the reaction to it is.

Well done. But I don't think it will help your score. :(

Very classy, the grain works wonders here, color is nice, all in all a stunning moon shot.

Mare Crisium is the dark feature on the right. It is toward the top during moonrise. Had a talk with 'PennyClick' about this. So with deductive reasoning I am quite sure who this is.
I like how this was pushed artistically. Very nice.

A wonderful answer to the inherent noise and grain issue of this type of shot. Great lines. Great blue hues.

I want to love this, for its simplicity, for the graphic quality, for the grain and the reflection, yet it somehow doesn't inspire me. (Not voting)

the noise and the symmetry are working for me
