Nice macro. I can see the tiny hairs of the thread. Good clarity and nice composition. |

Very abstract and cool. I really like this, and especially the different sized eyes. Wonderful! |

I like the concept, but it's too backlit. It woulda been nice if we could have gotten just a bit of detail in the thread and needles. |

Clever idea! The idea of sihouette was right on. |

This is a very cool effect! Makes for a very bold and dramatic shot of ordinary objects. 7 |

Cool idea. Reminds me a bit of one of Man Ray's "rayograph" style photos, where he just place objects on the photographic paper under the enlarger (although, yours is what you would get if you toook a negative of that). Compsitionally, the thread works really well in providing a path for your eyes to take around the needles. It's a great idea! Very experimental. |

Very interesting. Well shot! Having a hard time saying much more. Even though I do find this visually interesting, I guess it's just not enough to hold my attention.

I think this is an excellent photo. Could have been even better IMO if you used a brightly colored thread. |

I like this idea a lot but the processing seems a bit off. I would have liked to see more detail, or at least a little bit of color. Perhaps if you used a bright color thread and left that as the only color showing? Just an idea. =6 |

This shot is really cool, though it definitely hurts my eyes after just a few seconds of looking at it. Great play on silhouettes. |

Interesting use of silhouettes, but the lack of texture or depth makes the shot feel overly flat, which then seems to clash with the way the thread is trying to give depth. Sorry for not being able to explain it better than that... |

On the one hand, I like the look of this shot because it looks like a pen and ink drawing. On the other hand, it is so very stark, and I feel like I want to see more, especially more of the texture in the thread. Your border is very effective, and I think it accents the photo well. Overall - very nice. 8. lhall |

I like the simplicity of this shot. The eye follows the thread from left to right. I think having the thread's end visible is a good idea. |

Great composition, and wonderful use of silouets. I especially like the detail of the thread. While, for me persoanally, this photograph doesn't say anything, it is a very well executed job nevertheless. |

Neat! Great concept, the focus looks good, but might be able to be improved slightly. (the strings coming off the thread seem to be slightly blurred.) Overall nice shot. |

Your focus and clarity are good on this shot. I really like the patterns created by the eyes of the needles. Angle and framing/cropping are great. I think I would like to see this just as it is now, only with a colored string. I think that would give it that little something extra to make it interesting to me. You did a great job of showing the single little fibers in the thread. Good luck in the challenge. |
