I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: I really really like this. A bunch of Puffins? the coloration is fantastic; pure yet still complex and oh-so-assistive in allowing us to discern the structures. The slightly curved nature of the blur is most compelling - we can almost calculate the radius of curvature from what we see here.
Critical stuff: Nothing,
Overall: There aren't many people who, having the chance to shoot birds at this distance would choose to create this. I'm ever so glad you did. |

I think you have a very good chance of picking up a posthumous award but as a general rule these type of images will not score well here at DPC. I assume you knew that before submitting though. |
