You did it again Ben! Are we talking Kyoto or aristocratic Buddhism?
For me it's more like: as in Heaven so on earth. |

A landscape that comes off as an abstract. The simplicity of the scene really works and I like the very subtle texture. My eye just keeps moving around. Normally that is a problem meaning my eye can't find the subject, but in this case, it is just taking it all in. Well done. I'm going to hazard a guess that this might be a bspurgeon entry. |

Voted earlier now a comment. Spectacular in every way. All the elements together refined and presented brilliantly. There is so much Artistry here, not just photography. |

I love this image. It is very hard to take an image which doesn't have a subject and create the mood that you have created. Very well done. This image draws me in and creates and emotional response from me. 9 |

The range of tone and texture is so abstract, so seamless and flowing without tethers that it should be unexplainable, and yet it's entirely obvious and grounded in reality. Fantastic image. |

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: Smooth and subtle. This should be boring but somehow you've pulled off a magic trick and made it oh so very engaging. Very little for me to comment on, so ethereal is the presentation, my brain cannot readily grapple it, the image slips from my cognition.
Critical stuff: Nothing at all
Overall: Quite something from nothing. Well played. |

This photo is either a sequel or a prequel to this one . The emptiness is more vast with the use of B/W and creative vignette. I am still trying to articulate what this does for me - I really like it; a fave and a 9. |

Doesn't look at all like Heian art, but sure does feel like Heian spirit. I really enjoyed this picture. Thank you. |

I love this image and I hope others in this competition can take a moment to explore it as much as I have. It's fantastic in more ways than I can really put into words myself. I have come back to look at this image several times and I see something new and/or different each time I look. This might possibly be my personal favorite of this challenge... Great work :) |

Signature Bspurgeon. Another fav from me, love these long exposures that make the water look so soft. Brilliant |
