This is one Hermit character... very nice shot. With all those rings he has, he very well might be a real wizard :-] |

Verrry nice! I love the jovial spirit you captured. So many of these types of portraits are so serious. This is delightful! Congratulations on your red ribbon! |

Thoroughly average worldly old man picture.
However, unlike a gypsy or any other 3rd world oddity, this is just a regular guy in a costume. You found a regular guy - someone just like you or me - and made him look like a star. You took Joe and made him in to King Henry.
How often do you get to do that? |

great portrait. if i hadn't read your comments on it, i would've thought you got this guy to pose for you. either way, it works very well... most likely better because it's a candid and he's eyeing you a bit suspiciously. congrats!

Lovely shot, I like that you chose B&W. I gave it a 9. The light on his cap and beard provide great texture, and the cap, beard, and the rings on his hand provide a nice triangle of interest that holds my eye. Congratulations on your first ribbon and a PB! |

Nice photo of a well fed peasant. A hermit wearing so many rings and a fashionable hat? |

Hmm, looks more like a Renaissance Fair performer. ;-)
Crazy cool patterns in the beard. Ideally could use a little more light on the face, maybe the hat caused a shadow. Not sure if B&W was the optimal choice here, as tarot cards are generally colorful. |

Nicely framed and exposed. I wonder what this looks like in color. Seems like there could be some really nice mixtures of colors in this. |

I really like this image, it is very well done, but he looks more like a Magician to me. The rings would indicate worldly wealth, more suitable to a wizard or magician. This brings my score points down, but the image is really well done. |
