 Portrait of one of those boys, kind of typical young boy without undermining the fact that each and everyone is special. I like the crisp cold look of this portrait, taken on a rather cold February morning in Reykjavík.

First I used Lighroom for the "Bleach Bypass" color creative and then I cropped a bit, made a tiny color adjustment, before exporting to PS: levels, curves, frame, then I resized the image, sharpened and saved for the web.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives:This is a flat out wonderful portrait, I like the honesty of it. The light and composition are perfect, as is the depth of field. I really like the cool muted coloration, it matches the overall image very nicely indeed.

Critical stuff: Nothing

Overall: Perfectly judged in every respect.

Beautiful portrait. I love the clarity of it, as if you could count every straw of hair. His eyes, his lips, and the blue t-shirt in combination with the other colors. Very nice.
