| Hmmm. A nice crisp shot of an orange, but to me the subject is the two halves of an orange and this is a photo of the full subject. I'm probably being ultra-picky but I'm feeling this isn't quite what the challenge is aiming for. Therefore I'm knocking a couple of points off for my perception that this doesn't quite meet the challenge. |

| I think this picture would have been great had the background been more white. A cool trick I recently learned was to make a curves adjustment layer in Photoshop and take the little white eyedropper and click on the white portion of the background and it will usually "fix" the coloring issue (you may have to click on different location until you find the right "white"). If you don't have Photoshop I apologize... |

While I see what you were going for, and your interpretation of the challenge, I must vote down because I see the entire subject.
However, you do have a very nice photo here with good lighting, details, and a clean background. |
