This shot was taken using my Bogen Manfrotto tripod and the Tokina 80-400mm at 370mm. The wind was blowing this afternoon and the Hummingbird may have pushed off of it just before the shot so you may notice some movement is the Hummingbird feeder.

Wow! Why didn't you just ask him to land in your hand! I mean, how much closer can you get! :-) Terrific detail here, Robin. I'm not sure what your aperture was, but maybe the blowing wind helped to further blur the feeder and make the bird stand out more. Excellent shot.
