I don't know what to say about this image. It's excellent. Really excellent. And you were robbed of a 6+ score for it. The image screams of music, as I said. Composition is excellent. Lighting is gorgeous. The expression on his face is superb. This is my second time looking back at it. I gave it a 7 during the challenge. When I went back to look at it after I said I'd've given it an 8. But now I think I'd give it a 10 and fav it.

I'm amazed this got under six. don't let that get you down though. excellent capture. fantastic expression captured. love the use of negative space. love your title. love the lightin. the shot screams of music to me, which is incredible as there is no musical instrument in here.
love the portrait. got a 7 from me... which should have been 8 in revision. sorry :-) |

i really cant believe the scoring on this jason .. you definitely did get robbed .. oh well .. dpc voters .. they're a weird bunch .. totally unreliable and totally unpredictable .. this is one of my favs of yours ... you are kicking butt with your portraits .. awesome lighting once again .

thanks for you support, i didnt mind too much. in the last 2 days it went from a 5.4 to the current score AND i got a 8 from jj! I determined at the start to enter a portrait every f/s this year to try and learn my new lights so we'll see how it goes. |
