 My favorite flower, it is just great to shoot.
Quite surprised it did so well, looking at the competition.

Orange geled spot on sky blue backdrop, softbox front right.

Congrats and your blue ribbon; nicely done. I did one similar to this for the orange challenge (5th place) but yours is much better, expecially with the background. I have a lot to learn.

There tend to be a fair number of flower entries in lots of challenges. I often pass by them relatively quickly even though many are well shot. However, this one stopped me. Extremely well executed.
