Like this but wish you had the right foot on the ground.

Love it, Deb. A photo that lets the viewer create stories. The black and white seems integral, too. |

This is very special. A very decent score considering the "oddness" of it, I'd say :-) |

wonderful composition! actually, I might even have cropped the boy's head (I know, it sounds wrong :)). Legs here are so expressive, they tell the whole story. |

I'm not surprised that this was your shot. Nice entry and a very nice finish in this competition. |

A lesser photographer would have included the entire foreground person. This is superbly done, beautiful conversion, every choice here was made and executed masterfully. 10 |

In public places you meet people you never would otherwise. Love this. |

I commented on another image that pictures of people waiting are rarely interesting. But I said "rarely" and not "never," and this is a good example of why. Waiting, yes, but with a strong sense of mood and story. Excellent. |

Lovely, quiet photograph. Which is by far the best kind, and of course the most durable. Straight onto my imaginary 2010 wall it goes, and hanging in a central position, too ... because I would not tire of looking at it. Thank you. |

Oh, I love this. Perfect in BW. Wondering if it would have been even better with the foot on the ground showing the the closer person. Well done |

Great B&W tones in this composition. I also like the composition of elements and the mood presented here. One person we see in the backdrop but the other we only see a portion of. The crossed legs are in sharp focus but the lines and direction of the foot point the eye in the direction of the child in the backdrop. Both are seated comfortably (seeing as the chairs look so). But there is a story here that presents itself for the imagination to fill in the details...we wonder who are these two people, what is it that they are waiting for, and are they waiting for the same thing or something different. |

I really like this photo, it tells such a great story. The foot posture along with the blurry waiting boy in the back is a really great combination, not to mention the awesome lighting here.
The only thing that bugs me here is that elbow, it feels a bit intrusive since it just barely peeks into the picture.
Great moment. 7 |
