Thank you very much for the votes and comments. This was a fun shot, and yes, I hate the border also. Unfortunately, by the time I sharpened the image (no pun intended), the file size was approximately twice the allowable limit. As a result I had to keep shrinking the image and adding border until the file size was allowed. While I think it is a bit awkward looking, I didn't have a better alternative. In this case, the credit for the shot goes to my brother-in-law who provided both a dull axe and a hand-held grinder that we mounted to one of my tables in the garage. The only tricks to the shot were setting the wheel up so that the sparks and metal fragments were thrown into the frame instead of out of the frame and figuring out how to light the wheel and axe without taking away from the brightness of the sparks. For those that asked, it was not a complicated exposure, it was just over half a second, and did not require much editing. Thank you very much again, I truly appreciate every ribbon and every comment

So glad this ribboned. Awesome shot. Would you really have lost noticeable quality had you just gone big with it? Genuine question, as I go big regardless of the quality percentage. Maybe I shouldn't.

Great shot! Rather see more of the picture and less of a black border, but the picture still speaks for itself.

awesome kinetic feel of the image - but I am not a fan of the border at all - I want to see the picture not the overdone border

You know i'm not a big fan of borders. But without it I like how it is "framed"

very good shot that suffers from the small size/huge border

This is the first time I don't care for a border, I think this picture is so good, it deserves to take the whole frame. still no points taken away because of that.
