Great shot. I take it the DOF is all in post-production because I can't bring myself to think a 17-40 at f/7.1 would have a DOF like this.

Wonderful scene and great use of depth of field. Going black and white with this subject is risky (in my mind) but you did it well with nice contrast.

Excellent composition. You nailed the focus on the zebras. Monochrome really works here and throws attention to the stripes. The blurred background is both distracting and a very good technique. I really like placing wildlife in landscape scenes, but it's very difficult. (Ansel Adams never did it.) I admire your image very much. 9
