I agree with dahlin without the city in the background this shot woulnd't be half as interesting.

A perfect choice of pp for this shot. It has such an early 1900s photo feel.

I think the city in the distance is what makes the shot. That in combination with the processing creates the unique interest.

This is the dichotomy I sorta talked about in the other shot- showing the two completely different scenes together, compressed and in opposition, works very well. Before and after, now and then.

I think it makes the picture to have the city in the background. Ft. Worth is a unique environment the juxtaposition of old and new/ rural and urban. The vintage processing is inspired.
