Congratulations on the blue and scoring above 5.... Deserved much higher and was my top pick. Seldom do I see something so original on here.

Hah, that's cool: I threw 8's at all 3 of the Posthumous Blues! Congrats on this one. |

Fantastic. I had wondered if this might be your work, but then I thought it was way to obvious for John! Great comments as well. Congrats on the blue. |

wonderful shades of gray and it also has depth and mystery.
I think I see a city and I love cities. |

I looked at this several times before I realized it was in a cemetery. But of course it was never so easily defined. This is a notched surface, a dream flagging in the lower right, darkness is the only life.

Shocking when it first appeared on the screen. And the effect is sustained as the image gradually reveals itself. Great, great, great.

Gray is the color of my country! As I like to say. This picture is as depressing as my hometown can be in winter time. |

Nice depth, as if the stones are steps, enhanced by the streaks toward them. Not often do you see a shot like this with an American flag (at least in my opinion), so that's an interesting twist. I really like the anonymity in the shot. Great image. |

I like this abstract although I've no idea what it was originally! But very interesting. |

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: Oh wow! This is just off-the-scale good. Where to begin....? The scratchy textural effect you've managed to produce is so, so compelling - it almost adds an etched 3d effect. The figure looms large and almost scarecrow-like with hands of straw. The flag and gravestones(?) give this an additional poignancy.
Critical stuff: Nothing
Overall: Astonishing work. |

Intriguing. Not quite sure what to make of it, but it has appealing textures and tones. Sure to get creamed in the popular vote, but you knew that when you entered it. |

I scored this shot poorly. I can't make heads or tails of what I'm looking at and my eye doesn't know where to go because of all the out of focus elements. |

Interesting. Looks like a good candidate for the posthumous award. Initially I didn't like..... the longer I looked, the better I liked! Can't vote, just a comment. |

What a wonderful creation. A gritty commentary on war without denigrating those who have served. A towering oppressive figure...a falling flag. 10 |
