 One of my favorite things to photograph. I have been to this spot a few times before. I know this spot has been photographed to death but I feel like it fits the challenge so well, so why not do it again even though the concept of sentinel is conveyed in a figurative way, not definitive.

Very eerie, and very perfect for this challenge. The brown tones give this so much more emphasis than a B&W would've. Top 5 with an 8!

One can't go wrong with THE gargoyle. Kudos for climbing all the stairs! Please ask them to provide an elevator. Each time I go I twist the right knee!
I wish the photo did not have the border that makes it too much like a beautiful post card: "been there, done that". 8

LOVE IT! The gargoyle watching out over the city, the processing. Your capture of the head in the lightest part of the sky backdrop....even your boarder. It all works together SO WELL! FANTASTIC!

Nice picture, maybe a better angle cuold bust it up. Also keeping in count the rule of the sight (not sure if that's the correct name of the rule).

This is a nice classic shot but I'm not crazy about your colors. I think black and white with maybe a little sepia would be more appealing. I really like your composition.
