Took this while on vaca in playa.

When I read the challenge specs, this image jumped into my mind as it is the only one where I can see water, earth, air and the red flag can represent fire.

Im giving it a shot!

Maybe a lower perspective?

I like the color and composition. The flag has a nice deserted island feel, but the fact that it appears stuck in a tire tracks conflicts with this.

Not a bad idea, but there are several elements here that could work better. First, the composition feels quite crowded, especially with the top of the stick cut off. Since you've placed the flag and stick so close, they dominate the image, but instead of feeling big or important, it just feels close. Try taking a lower angle, so that the flag feels more imposing (and also so it doesn't intersect the horizon).

Also, the exposure is kind of flat. I would have taken it up maybe a third to two-thirds of a stop and then adjusted the contrast in post. Alternatively (or maybe additionally) you can try shooting later (or much earlier) in the day to get the really great lighting.

Finally, the horizon isn't level. It's a minor thing, but it makes a difference.
